Obituary – John Green
25 March 2019We regret to announce the death on March 15 of John Green, aged 86. The elder brother of Richard Green, the two men began their art dealing careers in the early 1950s working for their father James Green, before setting up in business together in Jermyn Street, specialising in Old Master and British paintings.

21 March 2019A cathedral in Germany has returned a painting that was seized by the Nazis in 1941 to the heirs of its original Jewish owners. The work had entered the collection of Adolf Hitler’s photographer Heinrich Hoffmann and was found among the numerous works he kept in a castle in Bavaria at the end of the Second World War.
