Shirt from historic moment of the BBC’s 'Pride and Prejudice' sells at Kerry Taylor Auctions

A group of six dresses worn by Queen Elizabeth and Princess Margaret when they were children will be offered at vintage fashion specialist Kerry Taylor Auctions later this month.

ATG’s selection of highlights sold at auctions this week, including a model tree taken from the Chinese emperor's Summer Palace.

Featuring clothing and accessories from the 1600s-2010 – including dresses, coats, shoes, furs, handbags and costume jewellery - ATG offers a handful of highlights ahead of Kerry Taylor Auction’s next Passion for Fashion sale.

Kerry Taylor Auctions’ October sale will feature a wide range of antique lacework, from 17th century Italian needle lace to 19th century bridal veils and Brussels Point de Gaze flounces.

Fellows’ second Designer Collection sale fetched over £100,000. With a Hermès Birkin 35 taking the top spot, it seems the current trend for classic fashions and accessories at auction is here to stay.

THE 660-lot Passion for Fashion auction held on December 15-16 was the second sale mounted by Kerry Taylor Auctions (20% buyer’s premium) under the new arrangement where her sales are managed independently and held in association with Sotheby’s on their premises rather than as a department within the company.

DATES have been announced for the first collectors’ sales to be held at Sotheby’s Olympia by the company’s former in-house specialists, now working independently.
