The Contemporary Art department of a London based auction house is recruiting a specialist with extensive experience of managing relationships with Asian collectors. The successful candidate will have a masters degree, at least five years of relevant experience, a flexible self-starter with an established transactional track record and fluency in at least two of Mandarin, Cantonese and Japanese.

to join the team and gain some valuable retail and marketing experience in the Antiques trade. The showroom assistant will be responsible for sales, excellent customer service, dealing with client enquiries, logistics, day to day decision making, management of incoming and outgoing stock and PA admin.
McTear’s is looking to expand its team of expert and friendly valuers with an experienced member of staff whose main roles will be cataloguing the wide range of art and antiques that are consigned for sale, both working as part of the existing valuation team and face to face with clients at the busy valuation desk, as well as representing the company on visits to clients’ and potential clients’ properties conducting valuations for auction and estate/ insurance purposes.
Valuer and auction manager. The selected candidate will be a driven professional with expertise ideally in furniture and or art. This is a lead management role with an opportunity also for the development and management of the candidates own specialist department. The selected candidate will enjoy working as part of a small highly professional dynamic auction team. They will be ethical, target driven, able to travel and work extended hours over sales weeks, IT competent and proven in successfully maintaining and growing relationships and business with clients on all levels both nationally and internationally.

Due to our rapidly expanding specialist departments and weekly general sale we now require enthusiastic porters with experience and ambition to join our team. The role will include the moving of stock, dealing with customers and assisting valuers and auctioneers. An ability to work under pressure and perform some heavy lifting will also be necessary.
