Brightwells was established in 1846 and is an auction house, estate agents and chartered surveying company. Its fine art division held auctions from its saleroom in Leominister in Herefordshire since 2004 but ceased operating in this caregory in 2020.
Brightwells Classic Vehicles holds auctions of automobilia and classic cars.

14 August 2017Large numbers of lots identified only as folders, boxes and albums full of prints, watercolours, maps and so on offered in a Brightwells (17.5% buyer’s premium) sale of July 5 included one disarmingly catalogued, in full, as ‘Sketches, Watercolours, Prints of Naked Ladies, chiefly’. It sold at £500.

22 September 2004ALTHOUGH many vendors decided to hold back some of their best furniture and paintings for the autumn sales, there was enough in Brightwell's (15% buyer's premium) 1266-lot August 11-12 outing to attract holidaymakers as well as some dealers who had not visited Brightwells for some time. As a result, it boasted a healthy 85 per cent take-up by lot and a total of £90,000.
