According to Derbyshire saleroom Hansons, that is part of the Sonia Jackson’s CV. However, she is also a familiar face at the Etwall firm having worked in a freelance capacity for several years. Jackson has joined Hansons as senior general valuer.

Her involvement began when Charles Hanson started his auctions at Mackworth, near Derby, around 12 years ago.

Meanwhile, news reaches us that Hanson himself – usually such a shy and retiring individual – has recorded a Christmas song for BBC Children in Need, along with three very wise men in the shape of Charlie Ross, Philip Serrell and James Braxton.
