Vintage ski posters hark back to the glamour days of the mountains and the golden age of luxury travel, giving them a certain retro charm.
This typical 1950s example of a fashionably dressed, wasp-waisted skier spelling out the name of the Swiss resort Arosa with her skis, is priced at £3500 from west London poster specialist Antikbar.
The 3ft 4in x 2ft 1in (1.02m x 64cm) linen-backed poster was designed by Donald Brun (1909-99), a leading graphic designer in Switzerland following the Second World War. He also created advertising posters for other winter resorts such as Davos and Klosters.
