The enquiry has been sent to me by a charity called Workaid which accepts unused and unwanted tools for vocational training groups in East Africa. There has been much speculation as to its function – it is 15in (38cm) long, slightly tapered and composed of a series of grooved sections with letters engraved from ‘A’ to ‘O’.
It unscrews into two sections between sections ‘G’ and ‘H’. Any opinions as to its purpose would be gratefully received.
