The sell-off gives buyers access to Howe’s entire stock for the first time in his 30-year career.
From October 1-5 the warehouse will be open to the public between 10am- 5pm.
The dealer and furniture designer/maker has been operating from the Pimlico Road area since the early 1990s.
In the past Howe held stock sales at auction (at Christie’s in 2004 and 2018). But having recently relocated his warehouse from near Heathrow to the more accessible Battersea, he has decided to hold sales there.
The sale coincides with the Decorative Antiques and Textiles Fair in Battersea Park (October 1-6). Howe said: “The warehouse is only 10 minutes from the shop, just the other side of Battersea Park, so it is very convenient.”
The Pimlico Road showroom is updated at least weekly with new stock from the warehouse.
He added: “The shop is about theatre, but it is just the tip of the iceberg. The warehouse has everything.”
Among the items on discount are regency dining chairs with a 25% reduction, a Buchranium mirror made by Howe in the late 18th century style with a 44% discount and a French painted gilt settee c.1810 with a 25% discount.
Howe said 5% of sales will be donated to The Last Animals Foundation.
