The move is due to major refurbishment at the Royal College which is expected to take at least 18 months. Founded in 1988 and still run by Gay Hutson and Angela Wynn, the last British Art Fair in its traditional home takes place this week from September 26 to 30.
Gay Hutson told the Antiques Trade Gazette: “The Institute has a larger exhibition space enabling us to offer a greater variety of stands. We are confident the fair will flourish in its exciting new venue.”
Next year’s dates are September 18 to 22.
New venue for art fair
AFTER this year the 20/21 British Art Fair will move from the Royal College of Art in Kensington Gore, London SW7 to the Commonealth Institute, Kensington High Street, W8.
