This was a 4ft 7in (1.36m) long brass and silk chandelier, offered on November 27-30 in the Vienna saleroom.
It incorporated vine leaves of varying sizes and as a lower finial a small bunch of grapes.
At least three such lamps with the model number M3619 were created in the metal workshop of the Wiener Werkstätte in 1921, only two years before Peche died at the age of 36 after a long illness.
This example was last sold at auction in 1970 in Vienna and has stayed there in various private hands since then. Its last owner was Rudolf Leopold, a famous collector of Jugendstil and founder of a museum that bears his name.
The latest proceedings started at €200,000 and moved progressively up to the upper guide of €400,000 (£347,825), bid by an Austrian collector
This Wiener Werkstätte brooch by Dagobert Peche, Zurich, 1919 sold for €13,000 (£11,300) at Kinsky in Vienna.
