It was one of nine pieces by the French ceramicist included in the auction.

The most expensive was a 11in (29cm) high ‘handkerchief’ bowl stamped Capron Vallauris that made €2600 (£1740) and a 21in (53cm) high model of a small bull (Petit Taureau) with a ceramic head and black lacquered metal body, later remounted, dated to c.1955 stamped Capron Vallauris France to the head that sold for €2000 (£1740).
