Part of a consignment from an old Guernsey farmhouse, the late 18th/early 19th century English doll, 12in (31cm) high, depicted as a Guernsey Militia soldier and had been played with by the vendor’s great-great grandparents. It was described as in very good condition for its age.
It sold to a US-based online bidder for £4200 against an estimate of £300-400.
