Work on paper by Alexander Calder, $63,000 (£50,805) at CRN Auctions.
The 2ft 6½in x 22¾in gouache and ink on paper, Rolling Down, is signed and dated lower right Calder 66.
The work was acquired by Nicholas Guppy directly from the artist in the 1970s and came to auction from a private collector in Boston. It is registered in the archives of the Calder Foundation, New York.
Estimated at $20,000- 30,000, it was finally hammered down at $63,000 (£50,805).
