Punch cup attributed to the Imperial Factory at St Petersburg, £4000 at Duke's.
This punch cup was one of several examples attributed to the Imperial Factory at St Petersburg that were offered at Duke’s (25% buyer’s premium) on April 5.
They came for sale in Dorchester from a private Devon collection.
The 2in (5cm) high glass or carved rock crystal cup was set with silver mounts and cabochon emeralds. A snake winds it way around the handle.
Against a £50-100 estimate, it went to a UK collector at £4000.
