Tom began auctioneering on his 21st birthday – 10 years ago this year.
Since the firm opened its Tamworth auction rooms in autumn 2021, Tom’s younger brother Ben has been hosting talks from the rostrum explaining how auctions work.
He then began wielding the gavel for Collectors sales last year.
Wintertons have been auctioneering in Staffordshire for seven generations, since 1864. Father Richard Winterton said: “It’s wonderful to see this tradition going strong.”
