Arts & Crafts silver blue gem and bluster pearl foliate pendant signed for Horace Minns, estimate £100-150 at Fellows.
It is signed Minns for Horace Minns of the Artificers’ Guild. “Pieces struck with the maker’s mark are rare and this is a beautiful example”, says specialist Alexandra Whittaker. The estimate is £100-150.
The Artificers’ Guild was originally established by Nelson Dawson along similar lines to the Guild of Handicrafts but quickly changed ownership and under Edward Spencer was incorporated as a limited company in 1909.
