The firm is nearly 60 years old and has been in the West End for 32 of those years. At the end of March it left for its refurbished 20,000sq ft location. It offers more than 2000 items of furniture, sculpture and works of art.
According to the gallery: “in a changing retail environment the location of the gallery is no longer important to clients, who prefer to see the full extensive range of pieces exhibited under one roof, together with expert advice and competitive pricing.”
Visits to the new space are possible by appointment.
Meanwhile, the firm plans to continue its international fairs presence. After recent appearances at TEFAF Maastricht and Masterpiece, it will also be at The Treasure House Fair in June and the LAPADA Berkeley Square Fair in September.
Adrian Alan is one of several galleries that have recently decided to look beyond a central London shopfront and commit to other ways of doing business, such as Francesca Galloway and Guinevere Antiques.
