Running from July 28-30 at Ragley Hall, Warwickshire, the event is a chance for a bit of mid-summer buying during the fair calendar’s quietest season.

The watercolour is offered for £4800 by Thomas Spencer Fine Art, one of around 14 exhibitors taking part.

Each is a member of the trade association LAPADA and together they offer a mix of fine art, furniture, contemporary art and jewellery. Names include Linda Blackstone, Timewise, Shapiro and Co, Ellis Fine Art and Freya Mitton.

Other highlights include the release of an illustrated letterpress edition of the novel War Horse by Michael Morpurgo on the stand of Books Illustrated. Celebrations include an onsite interview with the author and several appearances of the horse puppet from the West End show by the same name.

The Game Fair features shooting, falconry, a 4x4 driving experience and a stand devoted to preparing game meat. It is organised by Stable Events, which has partnered with LAPADA on its Berkeley Fair Square fair, returning this autumn (September 27-October 1). It is also working with the trade association on the launch of Art, Antiques & Interiors Expo scheduled for April 5-7 next year, filling the void left by the loss of Art & Antiques for Everyone.
