Kay Weatherell, who opened the Montpellier Mews Antiques Centre (now called the Montpellier Mews Antiques Market) in 1988 with her late husband John, said: “After 35 years I have decided to step back from it and I am delighted that our antiques centre will continue with Vincent and Lesley. I wish them all the very best for their future in Harrogate.”

Page and White’s nearest northern outpost is at Bowness-on-Windermere and the Antiques on High brand is also evident in Oxford, Sidmouth and Taunton.

Fresh case in point

The Weatherell name is also linked to the Grade 11-listed former magistrates court in Pontefract, West Yorkshire, which was bought by Kay Weatherell’s son Philip in 2016.

He opened the building as an antiques centre in 2019.
