The 2ft 6in x 3ft 4in (76cm x 1.02m) British quad film poster, folded, promoted the 1956 film Lust for Life starring Kirk Douglas as the troubled painter Van Gogh. Against a guide of £50-80, it took £900.

Other highlights included a Legend of the Lost British quad film poster, starring John Wayne and Sophia Loren, dating from just a year later, which went for £420 (guide £100-150) but a string of very respectable three-figure sums for much more recent designs show plenty of examples in the past 40-50 years are also highly collectable especially at the popular, sizeable British quad format.
