Having read the update in ATG No 2573, I submitted a written claim for four items purchased from France and one from the US.
An acknowledgement was received within 24 hours, followed five days later by five emails advising me of a refund for each of my five purchases.
Somewhat surprising, as an earlier verbal attempt had met with the response that the item had been listed as a “collectable” rather than an “antique” and a refund was not possible. Not a huge amount – and I had budgeted for the 20% as it was clearly displayed on the listing – but how many other items passed me by that were within the 15 percentage point differential?
The refund will at least pay for six months’ ATG subscription.
