It takes the form of a pineapple with a butterfly spout, shell finial and branch handle.
Pitched at £400-600 at the Shrewsbury auction on December 7, the 6½in (16.5cm) tall, 20.5oz pot went back to the US at £1500.
Pair of Harry Davis Royal Worcester vases – £1550 at Halls.
A more familiar piece to go similarly above the same estimate was a pair of 1911 Royal Worcester vases. The flared form (16cm) tall vase, painted with sheep in a grassy landscape with blossoming trees and signed for Harry Davis, went to a UK collector at £1550.
