The medium is oil on canvas and it is signed and dated GH Warr 1947.
The boy is wearing a cricket blazer emblazoned with two recumbent lions.
It has been suggested that it could be a portrait of schoolboy cricket prodigy Peter May in his Charterhouse days; but he would have been 17 in 1947.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
