A first edition of The Illustrated Man by Ray Bradbury, 1951, part of a lot that made £660 at Reeman Dansie.
Offered with an estimate of just £20-30 but sold for £660 to an online buyer in a January 4 sale held by Reeman Dansie (20% buyer’s premium) of Colchester was a lot offering US editions of two science-fiction and fantasy classics by the US writer Ray Bradbury.
They were a copy of The Martian Chronicles, dating from 1950 but not a first edition, and a first edition of The Illustrated Man of the following year.
