Ruth Domanski and Shauna Donaldson are holding a brocante in Grantham next month.

Domanski said: “I attended an event at Grantham House which is a National Trust property in Grantham’s historic quarter and thought the walled garden would be an ideal setting for a fair.

“The house management offered us Saturday, September 9, as well as the beautiful St Wulfram’s Church opposite the house for an inaugural Christmas fair on Saturday, November 4.”

The Artisan Brocante in September will have around 30 exhibitors selling brocante pieces, decorative antiques, textiles and gardenalia as well as hosting artisan stalls.

Rare public peek

Domanski added: “We’re praying for good weather so we can have seating areas in the garden. We want it to be a lovely decorative event with loads of flowers and antique props so people can enjoy the place which isn’t usually open to the public.

“We’re looking for more venues in 2024 and hope to have more events at Grantham House.”
