Charcoal drawing of a Normandy milkmaid by Jean-François Millet, estimate €100,000-150,000 at Bonhams Cornette de Saint Cyr.
The famous French actor bought his first drawing in 1964 and the auction reflects the fruits of 60 years of collecting drawings, paintings and sculpture with 81 lots spanning Italian Renaissance drawings through paintings by masters of the 19th and early 20th century.
Millet’s signed charcoal drawing measures 14 x 11in (36 x 28cm) and has an estimate of €100,000-150,000 on June 22.
