As always with PBFA’s fairs, the variety of what exhibtors can offer is striking and sometimes esoteric.

The fair itself will include Testament of Friendship: The Story of Winifred Holtby by Vera Brittain. Signed by the author in 1949, this biography of Brittain’s close and long friendship with Holtby, whom she met at Oxford, is with Quair Books at £225.

“A dream come true for the collector,” said Jez Carson of The Antiquarian Book Company about Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll that he is bringing to the fair. “While the first edition from 1866 will set you back £10,000 or more, this copy from 1867 is just £500.”
