The weather is always a big element for fairs with outdoor pitches.

Sue Ede said of her Shepton Fleamarket at the Royal Bath and West Showground on Sunday, April 9: “The two Shepton fleas so far have been significantly busier this year over last and with good weather, it should be a bumper Easter Sunday, in excess of 5000 visitors and more than 400 stallholders.”

Ede added: “The appetite for buying and selling seems stronger than ever. It’s very exciting to see business come roaring back this year.”

Cheltenham Antiques and Vintage Market

The monthly Cheltenham Antiques and Vintage Market spreads out along the tree-lined Promenade and Long Gardens in the centre of the town with the next on Saturday, April 8.

Organiser Jonathan Nixon, who also runs antiques markets in Wembley and Bath, said: “We’re pleased with the market and it’s great to see 50 dealers stalling out there every month. Attracting decorative dealers such as Chapter Two Antiques, Fox & Peel and Antique Gent has added a real twist to the event and we’ve seen great support from trade buyers and local interior designers.”

Henley Décor Fair

Not riverside… is the Henley Showground, the new location at Hambledon, near Henley, for the Henley Décor Fair which runs from April 13-16. In our piece last week (ATG No 2585) on the fair we described the showground as being “by the River Thames.” Sorry about that.
