Standing 6ft 3in (1.90m) tall and of pegged construction it had general age gnarls and splits throughout, although the central cupboard was in good solid condition with only minor repairs.
The £800-1200 estimate at the August 3 sale in Whitchurch was much the norm these days but it sold at £7500.
