Now it is a lifestyle choice and a logical retort to fast fashion, as specialist vintage fashion fair organisers know well.

Frock Me! is back at Chelsea Old Town Hall on Sunday, September 18, for the organiser’s first fair of the autumn season when the hall will fill with climate-and price-savvy vintage buyers.

Fairs co-ordinator Elena Ochagavia said: “This fair always has a long waiting list, making it harder for ‘new’ exhibitors to join this event which is booked up months or even years ahead.

“We will have 60 exhibitors at the fair on September 18 selling vintage fashion, textiles and jewellery and we prioritise our regular, well-established dealers such as Shani Turner of Turner Vintage, who has provided many vintage pieces to celebrities including singer Florence Welch over the years.”

Ochagavia added: “On October 30 we will be back at Kensington Town Hall with 100 vintage exhibitors across two floors and, as this is a larger event for us, we are able to book more exhibitors alongside regulars.”
