All hustle and bustle at a past Antiques Anonymous, now to be known as Church Street Antiques Fair.
Back after a three-year absence, the annual Church Street Antiques Fair will run along the antiques-rich stretch in Marylebone, north London.
It had originally been planned for Sunday, September 18 but - after discussion with Westminster City Council Church Street Regeneration - it has been postponed following the passing away of Queen Elizabeth II. A new date will be announced in due course.
It is a collaboration between the 80 antiques and art dealers on the street. The one-day event will feature 70 antiques, vintage and art dealers setting out their eclectic stalls including post-war design-focused Diagonal Furniture, decorative dealers Scene by Chloe and Simon Pugh, who specialises in 18th to 20th century furniture.
Name to a place
Formerly called Antiques Anonymous, the name change came post-Covid restrictions being eased with the organisers’ need to bring customers back to the destination. Tying the event name to the location was thought to be the way to do that.
The fair is organised by The Church Street Antiques and Art Dealers’ Association and Alfies Antiques Market in partnership with Westminster City Council.
Rag and Bone Bros, based in north London, is owned by brothers Junayd and Serkan who sell vintage pieces sourced from across the world. These striking original silk route traders’ caps, made in Uzbekistan, cost £45 each and will be on the brothers’ stand at the fair on September 18.

Since then it has evolved to become the flagship of one of London’s most fascinating enclaves of antiques shops, testament to the power and energy of our diverse working community.
“The street is home to a hub of antique dealers, many of whom started at Alfies, and the Church Street Antiques Fair is an excellent way to celebrate our unique and thriving neighbourhood.”
