Pictured above is an oval platter measuring 11½in (29.5cm) in width decorated en grisaille with a scene of two figures in Oriental costume and behind them two Teniers-style villagers dancing to the sound of a bagpipe before a cottage. Marked VV in gold for Verneuilh and Vanier, it has an estimate of €450-600.
The 8in (20.5cm) high jug and 11½in (29cm) wide stand shown above, also marked VV for Verneuilh and Vanier, is painted with gilt foliate motifs and panels featuring a scene of equestrian figures in Oriental costume and a dog to the jug and to the centre of the stand a woman on a donkey accompanied by an older man with a seascape in the background.
It has an estimate of €1200-1500.
