The monthly Bath Vintage & Antiques Market has been taken over by Jonathan Nixon, co-organiser of the Wembley Park Antiques Market and the Cheltenham Antiques Market.

The event, known as the Bath VA and held on the last Sunday of the month, was launched by graphic designer Naomi Knight in 2011.

She said the of the event in 2018: “The market is now a Bath institution, with the last Sunday of every month known as ‘market day’.”

Nixon said: “We’re looking forward to building on the great reputation that the Bath VA has established over the past 11 years and we would like to see the market as a hub for both trade and the public in the south-west of England.”

Historic venue

Held in Bath’s historic Green Park Station, which opened in 1870 but closed in 1971, the next market is on Sunday, October 30. Thirty extra dealers are set to come on board over the coming months.

The organisers confirm it is business as usual for the market during building works at the station which will continue until April 2023.
