“It’s been a great year so far with visitors flocking back to our live events,” enthused Alan Old of So Last Century.

“Attendance at our summer markets in Beckenham have been higher than ever and we’ve seen record numbers at the indoor fairs that we hold in the autumn and winter months.

“Despite the current economic situation we’re seeing steady sales of good quality, affordable furniture and particularly homewares with several traders reporting their best ever sales days.”

Next up for the eager buyers is the 50-dealer So Last Century’s biannual two-day fair on Saturday and Sunday, October 15-16, in the 1960s Modernist refectory and Victorian hall at St Dunstan’s College in Catford, south London.

Down the Old Kent Road

Hot on the heels of this is another date for a vintage market at the AMP Studios on the Old Kent Road, southeast London.

On Sunday, October 30, up to 25 traders will be setting up in two railway arches and a yard.

Old said that the 2023 calendar is packed out, including a fair at Goldsmiths University in March.
