Running from October 7-9, the event takes place in the County Grandstand at Chester Racecourse and hosts dealers bringing furniture, fine art and more.

The globes were made c.1825, are updated to 1838, and their makers, the Newton family, were ranked among the leading globe makers of the early 19th century.

FE Anderson, a regular at this event, offers them for £26,500.

Also showing at the fair are Melody Antiques, Kalms Antiques and Fashion Fandango, who are joined by newcomers including Scottish & Scandinavia Design.

Church Street Antiques, exhibitor at the Chester fair for more than 20 years, offers this Art Deco birds-eye maple dining room suite by Harry & Lou Epstein, made c.1932 in Holloway, London. It is priced at £17,500.

This is the first edition of the fair for over a year; its February event was called off due to road closures in the city.

It is also the fourth staging run by Cooper Fairs since taking the venerable event over from Penman Fairs.
