The daughter of Anthony Gustav de Rothschild (1887-1961), she married former British Olympic show-jumping champion Peter Robeson OBE (1929-2018). Together they operated a stud in Buckinghamshire.

Many of the jewels in her collection reflect a passion for horses, including this Edwardian enamel and diamond horse and jockey brooch created in the form of St Amant, a British thoroughbred owned and bred by Leopold Nathan de Rothschild (1845-1917).

St Amant’s racing career was short-lived, lasting only three years, but include a win at the 1904 Derby. The brooch, probably made that year, carries an estimate of £600-800 in the Newbury auction of Fine Jewellery, Silver, Watches and Luxury Accessories.
