The late Shane Theophilus.
Shane was a well-respected specialist glass dealer in René Lalique glass and was for many years a regular at fairs such as Olympia and Antiques For Everyone and served on various vetting committees.
He began his career at Antiquarius and will be remembered for his many years of trading in Camden Passage and Portobello. Shane was well known throughout the business as a dealer with a great sense of humour who enjoyed the finer things in life.
He had a rare and unrivalled knowledge of many aspects of glass and decorative arts which he used to good effect.
Shane’s lifelong love of Tottenham Hotspur was rivalled only by his love of his partner Katy and his three adult sons.
He spent the last few years between the Bahamas, Portugal and the UK enjoying life and died in Portugal while playing the sport he loved – football.
His partner Katy is carrying on the business where Shane left off.
He will be missed.
