Chloe and Denis Ozanne are bringing this Joan Miró original poster Aidez l’Espagne priced at €3800 to the Avant-Garde Artists of the 20th Century, a book fair running in Paris from June 10-12. The poster was created in 1937 as a protest against fascism during the Spanish Civil War.
The book fair will be held by SAGXX in Paris from Friday to Sunday, June 10-12, at the 16th century Réfectoire des Cordeliers in rue de l’Ecole de Médecine in the 6th arrondissement.
Avant-garde ‘isms’ featured at the 30-dealer and galleries fair include Surrealism, Dadaism, Futurism and Situationism plus underground, rock, mods and counterculture with books, posters, photographs, paintings, drawings and records.
Among the dealers standing are two from the UK: Carl Williams Rare Books and PY Rare Books.
