The first event under the new banner ran on July 9 and Worcester-based organiser Jonathan Nixon said he was very pleased with the turnout both of visitors and the dealer numbers.

“It had a very French feel with trading going on non-stop and plenty of sales including architectural gardenalia and decoratives”, he said. The event featured dealers from Corky Events’ previous Cheltenham market plus the rest “from our own pool of dealers”.

Nixon hopes to take this up to a maximum of 75/80.

The next Cheltenham event, which spreads out along the town’s Promenade and Long Gardens, will be held on Saturday, August 13.
