Gino Viscossi was born in Italy, living under the fascist repression years, eventually escaping by boat along with his brother, making their way to the sanctuary of England.
Gino made his home in the seaside town of Morecambe and later developed a fascination for antiques of every kind. In the early 1970s he began trading, gradually building his reputation as a well-respected antiques dealer.
From small beginnings he bought and sold at every level, culminating in his Olympia debut alongside his great friend Melvyn Hockey, both selling high-end antiques.
He will be greatly missed by all his friends and colleagues. Arrivederci Gino.
