Casey Lane has taken on the management of Featonbys.
Now to be known just as Featonbys, the firm formerly based in North Shields, will operate from 16 Shakespeare Street, Newcastle Upon Tyne.
It was previously run by Mark Lane and daughter Casey but Casey has now taken on sole management.
Casey’s brother Mark has also joined the business and is training to be a jeweller.
The firm continues to work with consultant valuer Jon Solomons (also based in Hatton Garden) who is its head of jewellery, watches and gemstones.
The move is in collaboration with London jeweller Swan & Co which is sharing the premises in Newcastle. Featonbys also has a presence at Swan & Co’s Hatton Garden base.
Featonbys will hold auctions online and offer valuations and viewings in the Newcastle premises by appointment.
