But ringing the changes among the works by the Master of Art Nouveau offered on July 12 was a Mucha-designed metal biscuit tin for Biscuits Russes.
The 9½ x 7 x 6½in (24 x 17.5 x 16.5cm) tin, made for the Russian market, is one of a series designed by Mucha for the French biscuit company Lefèvre-Utile and features images from his Ages of Man design which was used for an 1898 calendar. It realised $8000 (£6720).

Included among the Mucha posters in the auction was a rare example promoting Fox-Land Jamaica Rum.
The 11¾x 17½in (30 x 44cm) poster for the Kingston-produced product dates from 1897, was printed in Paris by F Champenois and is one of only two known examples. It realised $80,000 (£67,225).
The rare 1920 poster for Michelin tyres by Marcello Dudovich depicting Bibendum seated inside the tyre reading a map of Italy that was previewed in ATG No 2548 sold for $22,000 (£18,485).
