Ceramic wall sculpture by Georges Jouve, €230,000 (£194,915) at Briscadieu.

The reversible sculpture, in black enamelled ceramic, measures 10 x 22in (25 x 56 cm) and comes with the original 15¾in (40cm) high nickel plated hooking support for attachment to the wall.
The piece dates from c.1950. It is identical to and may be the model that was shown at the 36th Salon des Artistes Décorateurs, in Paris, 1952, says the auction house.
On sale day it demolished the €20,000-30,000 guide to take no less than €230,000 (£194,915).
