The boot in 2019, pictured, attracted 5000 buyers to the 400-pitch event in the grounds of the property near Salisbury and 2022’s boot runs on Bank Holiday Monday, August 29. Gates open for sellers at 6am and 9am for visitors who have four hours to suss out the wares. It’s all over by 1pm.

The Norfolk Churches Trust is returning on Sunday, May 1, with its stately car boot at Sennowe Park, near Fakenham in Norfolk.
It takes place five years after their last one in 2017 when 8000 people bought so much they raised £86,000 for the charitable trust. Private individuals only are invited with pitches sold on a first come/first serve basis to a maximum of 200 pitches.
Alongside the boot there will be a silent auction including a painting by Maggi Hambling and a watercolour by local artist Gerard Stamp of a church of your choice. Contact statelycarboot@gmail.com
Pitches at the country house car boot held at Manor Farm, in the village of Stert, near Devizes on Saturday, May 7, are £25 if booked before April 30 and £40 from May 1. Held in aid of Cancer Research, the site opens at 6.30am for sellers and 7.30am for buyers.
The first of Stonor Park’s biannual antique and vintage car boots this year will roll out on Sunday, May 15, in a 250-acre corner of the Chiltern Hills, near Henley in Oxfordshire, home to the Stonor family for eight centuries. Bookings for both sellers and buyers need to be organised in advance with pitch bookings looking good at 150, said Jenny Butterworth at Stonor Park.
An attraction at Stonor Park is the chapel – separate ticket – and Polish artist Jozef Granas’ series of artworks, Stations of the Cross, created in the Second World War.
