Collecting is an important element of the textiles trade and the work of the Textile Society helps to promote this, partly through this London Antique and Vintage Textile Fair. All profits from ticket sales support the society’s awards and bursaries scheme.

Piled high on the tables will be textiles from the 18th century to the 1970s, rugs, upholstery fabrics, French linens and fashion accessories.

The 30 traders include Slow Loris Textiles with Oriental tribal pieces, The Running Stitches with vintage Kantha quilts and blankets, Peta Smyth Antique Textiles and Susie Petrou with antique folk clothes, plus Fuji Kimono and Meg Andrews with Arts & Crafts antique textiles and 18th and 19th century textiles.
