Porcelain figures of a Jewish man and woman created c.1740 during the Qianlong period - priced in the mid six-figures from Jorge Welsh.
The pair, decorated in overglaze famille rose enamels and gold, provide an insight into how Western prints of models were interpreted by Chinese potters and transformed into three-dimensional forms.
Only four comparable male and 10 female figures are known, with this duo priced in the mid six-figures from Jorge Welsh Works of Art in Kensington Church Street.
