Molly Ott Ambler (pictured top) has been promoted to the head of the fine art division for Bonhams US. She was previously the director of Impressionist and Modern art at the auction house where she has been since 2019. She was previously at valuation firm Gurr Johns and began her art world career at Sotheby’s.

Piasa

Véronique Tajan.

Paris auction house Piasa has hired Véronique Tajan as senior specialist in its jewellery department and luxury division. The French-Swiss national, the widow of the late auctioneer François Tajan (1962-2020), previously worked as an independent specialist.

Freeman’s

Freeman’s of Philadelphia has appointed two new specialists to its fine art department. Adam Veil becomes vice president of business development and specialist in fine art, while Lauren Colavita takes the role of associate specialist in fine art.

Veil’s area of specialisation is Post-war American art. His experience includes a post as executive director of the Santa Fe Art Auction.

Colavita attended the University of St Andrews in Scotland and the University of Edinburgh.

She joins from Freeman’s sister auction house in Edinburgh, Lyon & Turnbull, where she was a junior specialist in the paintings department.

Andrew Jones

Jena Lee.

Andrew Jones Auctions of Los Angeles has appointed Jena Lee as Pacific Northwest Representative. She is an art appraiser and consultant, with over a decade of experience in the valuation of fine art and residential contents.

As a specialist in Modern and Contemporary fine art, Lee began her appraisal career with Charles Credaroli Fine Art Services in LA. She recently relocated to Portland, Oregon.
