Anne Marriner and her business partner Sally Ross are Fire Kettle Events, organising for the past four years antiques and collectables fairs at Coolings Garden Centre, Knockholt, near Sevenoaks in Kent. The autumn fair takes place on Saturday and Sunday, October 16-17.
Marriner said: “We run these events twice a year inside the site when the area we hire is not used for growing. It’s a huge heated glasshouse and just right for showing off pieces. Coolings is one of the top nurseries in the country and as a traditional nursery they concentrate on plants which are mostly grown on the 14-acre site.
“We have 40 dealers booked this time with lots of regulars selling Art Nouveau and Arts & Crafts copperware, furniture, glassware, books and jewellery.”
