The lots comprise recycled skate decks – the flat part of a skateboard that the rider stands on – decorated by a contemporary artist with their take on a key topic.

They have been brought together in a sale called For Cop’s Sake! arranged by re:ply, which creates upcycled skateboards, and Route One, an online skateboarding store, with the funds raised to go to the Environmental Justice Foundation (Charity No. 1088128).

The sale will be hosted by Forum Auctions on November 12 at 6pm. No auction fees will be charged.

The decks are available to view at Route One’s store, 254 Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow. They all come with an estimate of £150-£300.

Stephan Ludwig, chief executive of Forum Auctions, says: “We applaud Route One, re:ply and the artists for their generous support of the Environmental Justice Foundation’s work. The auction industry has long promoted upcycling and it gives me great pleasure to assist with raising funds for this critically important cause.”
