The set, dating from 1928-29, comprises a 5ft 10in (1.8m) wide Modernist compartmented and fitted desk in brass mounted blackened pearwood; a swivelling armchair in the original red leather; and a pearwood waste paper bin and a desk lamp by the Danish designer Poul Henningsen.
